I think this is more romantic than most “romantic” songs out there. You don’t need to have flowery words. Just put it out there, plain and simple. And be witty about the reasons. Don’t make dreamy analogies like “why do birds suddenly appear when you’re near” kind of thing. It’s so last decade.
